

Nominations for officers and directors of the Alumni Association are being sought prior to elections scheduled for Homecoming Weekend this fall.
The Nominating Committee will present a slate of names at the association's annual business meeting on Saturday, Oct. 28, for election to several association offices and positions on the national board of directors. Terms will begin on Jan. 1, 1996.
The board also will appoint members of the association to represent alumni societies and the association at large.
The officer positions up for consideration include: national president, national first vice president, and national second vice president.
Positions on the national board up for consideration include: North 1 Region director (Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, Desoto, Lafayette, Marshall-Benton, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, and Yalobusha county chapters); Central 3 Region director (Central Mississippi chapter and Leake, Scott, Smith, and Warren county chapters); South 2 Region director (Adams-Franklin-Wilkinson, Amite, Clairborne-Jefferson, Copiah, Covington, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pike, Simpson, and Walthall county chapters); Central District young director (Central Region 1--Bolivar, Holmes, Humphreys, Leflore-Carroll, Sharkey-Issaquena, Sunflower, Washington, and Yazoo county chapters; Central Region 2--Attala-Choctaw, Kemper, Neshoba, Noxubee, and Winston county chapters; and Central Region 3--Central Mississippi chapter and Leake, Scott, Smith, and Warren county chapters); and out-of-state director.
One society director and one at-large director will be appointed by the national board of directors.
All Mississippi State alumni are eligible to recommend names for consideration for any of these positions. To do so, send them to: Nominating Committee, P.O. Box AA, Mississippi State, MS 39762-5526. Recommendations should be received by July 26.
The annual Homecoming football game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, against Kentucky.
