Our Original Free Screen Saver
Instructions
You may install these screen savers on your computer and share them with your friends who identify with Mississippi State.
Minimum Requirements: MS-Windows 95/98/2000/NT, hard disk - 2.0 Meg free space, 256-color SVGA adapter.
Download either screen saver and save it to a convenient directory such as c:\temp.
Installation for Windows 95/98/2000/NT:
- Go to C:\temp or the directory in which you saved the screen saver file.
- Run the file you downloaded to decompress it.
- Run the resulting setup.exe file.
At this point you may delete the decompressed files in c:\temp.
To activate the screen saver, you must reconfigure the MS-Windows desktop.
Desktop Configuration for Windows 95/NT:
- Click on the "start" button and select the "settings" option.
- In the new window, double click the "control panel" icon.
- In the control panel window, double click the "display" icon.
- In the display properties window, select the "screen saver" tab at top.
- Go to the screen saver list box and select "MSU Screen Saver."
- Use the "minutes" button to shorten or lengthen the interval to wait for the screen saver.
- Click the "settings" to configure the behavior of the screen saver.

Most of the programming on the original screen saver was done by MSU student Roger Garvin and on the 2000 version by student Owen Munton. The photographs were made by university photographers Fred Faulk and Russ Houston.
