The purpose of the Faculty Handbook is to provide information, as well as
sources of information, which faculty find beneficial. Every effort has
been made to provide current and accurate information. However, as with
all other publications, information can become outdated quickly.
Therefore, the hand- book cannot be relied upon as the final authority on
policies, procedures, or other issues. The provisions of the handbook are
not intended to be contractual.
The Faculty Handbook is also available on the university web site
at http://msuinfo.ur.msstate.edu/handbook.fac/1997/. Corrections and
additions to the Faculty Handbook may be made to the online version from
time to time.
This handbook is the result of the work of many people, complied by the Faculty Handbook Committee, jointly appointed by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Chair of the Faculty Senate. Changes and corrections should be sent to the Faculty Senate office, mail stop 9728.
