Mid-size cars now available to travelers

The university has purchased four 1993 Pontiac Grand Prixs to offer travelers an alternative to the vans that have been in use for years.

According to Gaddis Hunt, director for support services, the vehicles were acquired in response to frequent requests from individuals and from groups too small to make van rental practical.

Anyone interested in reserving one of the vehicles should call the Transportation Department at 325-3926. The department renting the vehicle will be charged $20 per day plus $.20 per mile, and the department is responsible for providing gas. Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
