Nearly 30 bank executives who are alumni or friends of Mississippi State currently serve on the advisory board of the College of Business and Industry's Banking Excellence Program. The program works to provide students with the most up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in the banking and finance industry. At a recent campus board meeting, program director Larry White welcomed Starkville board members, left to right, E.H. (Buddy) Staggers III, president of First Federal Bank for Savings; Clifton B. Fowler, branch president of the National Bank of Commerce of Mississippi; Glenn E. Mullins, branch president of the Bank of Mississippi; James D. Cook, branch president of the Merchants and Farmers Bank; and Larry W. Jones, branch president of the Deposit Guaranty National Bank.
