Continuing Ed schedules courses

Review courses for two national standardized exams will be offered in upcoming weeks by Mississippi State's Division of Continuing Education.

Review for the National Teachers Exam (NTE) will be Feb. 5, 12, and 26. Review for the Graduate Management Admission Test will be Feb. 12 and 26 and March 5. All sessions are 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.

The NTE preparation reviews test-taking strategies. Sessions feature timed practice exams, with math and science components emphasized. Subject areas covered by the review are literature and fine arts, math, listening/reading, writing, science, and social studies.

The GMAT course will review diagnostic tests, commercial books, sample math problems, grammar, and statistics. The prep course emphasizes analysis so that students become familiar with the time constraints of each section of the GMAT.

Other non-credit courses ranging from cake decorating to writing and proofing skills also will be offered by the Division of Continuing Education in upcoming weeks.
