According to the editors, assistant professor Rachel McCann and professor Michael Fazio, the journal was first published in 1989 and has been an annual publication since 1991.
It has a national circulation of more than 200, and its distribution list includes architectural historians, preservation agencies, schools of architecture, and libraries.
The 1993 edition—volume four of the publication—was the first issue published at Mississippi State.
The 64-page journal features articles, research notes, and book reviews that deal with a range of topics in the history and theory of architecture.
The journal is formatted electronically and, except for the most intricately detailed images, is downloaded directly into computers at the university's Printing Department.
The 1993 edition was published in early November.
