Dr. Pierre L. Titard is a spring arrival on campus as the new director of the School of Accountancy. A Baton Rouge native and Louisiana State University graduate, he most recently was chair of the Accounting and Business Legal Studies Department at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Titard said he accepted the invitation to join the College of Business and Industry family "because I was impressed with the strong program in accounting that already exists here at all three (degree) levels." Not a total stranger to the state, Titard lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for a time in the 1960s when he was employed with the federal government's General Accounting Office.
