Videoconference to highlight National Quality Month

A national videoconference broadcast Oct. 25 at Mississippi State will focus on the latest quality issues facing American businesses.

The 9 a.m.-noon program, broadcast from Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich., will be viewed in Coskrey Auditorium of Memorial Hall.

It is sponsored by the Starkville Chamber of Commerce and by the university's College of Business and Industry and the National Institute for Technology Training in the Division of Continuing Education.

"The Quality Forum X" will bring together prominent leaders from business, health care, education, and government to discuss quality issues and to present findings of recent quality surveys.

Ford Motor Co. chairman Alex Trotman will present his company's quality story. The forum also will present the American Customer Satisfaction Index developed by the University of Michigan.

More than 200,000 professionals are expected to view the forum from approximately 1,500 sites. For more information about how to participate in the videoconference locally, contact the National Institute for Technology Training at 325-3619.
