

The National Security Education Program makes available significant funds to help students who lack other means to participate in educational experiences abroad (outside Western Europe and Canada).
Eligibility criteria for graduate fellowships include U.S. citizenship, current enrollment in a graduate degree program or doctoral program with a specialization in area/language studies, and a willingness to enter into a service agreement.
Criteria for year-long undergraduate study abroad scholarships include U.S. citizenship and freshman or sophomore status when applying for the 1995 summer term. Junior or senior status is required to apply for fall 1995 or spring 1996 terms.
Other eligibility requirements also apply. Application deadline is Dec. 7, 1994.
