Images of Sicily on display

A collection of photographs emphasizing the architecture of Sicily will be on display through November at the Giles Architecture Gallery.

The gallery is open during regular office hours in 240 Giles Architecture Building.

The photos by William McClung, professor of English, were taken during a visit to the island off the coast of Italy in May. XI Sicilian Images XI highlight what McClung describes as "both the sinister and the grandiloquent in Sicilian design."

A professor at Mississippi State since 1971, McClung has written widely about architecture and literature.

He holds doctoral and master's degrees from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree from Williams College.
