Agriscience workshop held

Gayle C. Fortenberry of the McKellar Vocational Center in Columbus was among a group of agriscience teachers from throughout the state recently attending a special three-day workshop at Mississippi State. Each represented a school with a new agriscience program that combines science and agriculture to provide additional learning opportunities. With Fortenberry was Dr. Michael E. Newman of the Department of Agricultural Education and Experimental Statistics, which sponsored the workshop. Funding for the workshop was provided by the state Department of Education.
