

Fire Brigade Organization For Industry, Oct. 11, 1-5 p.m. This class focuses on policies and objectives of a fire brigade. Emergency action plans, including facility evacuation and crowd control, also will be presented.
What Managers Do, Wednesdays, Oct. 12-Nov. 16, 5:30-8:30 p.m. The course examines components of management jobs, covering planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling. It meets 5:30-8:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
The Meyers-Briggs Personality Assessment for Team Development, Oct. 13, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The course will provide insights into personality assessment and how to improve decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
Making Meetings Work, Oct. 19, 1-5 p.m. The course is designed for executives, managers and supervisors who hold staff meetings, as well as leaders of community, health, government, and social organizations.
Fire Detection, Suppression and Prevention Methods, Oct. 25, 1-5 p.m. The training session will focus on basic design and operating principles for suppression and detection systems.
Effective Employee Appraisal, Oct. 27, 6-9 p.m. Managers will learn about an array of performance measurement techniques.
