President's Commission seeks safety input

October has been designated National Crime Prevention Month, and the President's Commission on the Status of Women is helping the university identify safety issues concerning faculty, staff, and students.

The commission has placed suggestion boxes in the lobby of Allen Hall and at the Colvard Union information desk for those who have campus safety concerns.

Suggestions also may be sent by e-mail to commission member Liz Rook at rook@me.msstate.edu.

"With everyone's help, we can identify possible problem areas on campus and make changes before serious problems arise," Rook said.
