Division chairs named for campaign's University Phase

As The Campaign for Mississippi State is set to enter its University Phase, a 38-member steering committee has announced three division chairs who will lead the on-campus effort.

They are:

• --Dr. Roy H. Ruby, vice president for student affairs, Administration Division;
• --Dr. Sandra Harpole, associate professor of physics, Faculty and Professional Staff Division; and
• --Liz Rook, secretary in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Support Staff Division.

The Administration Division headed by Ruby will target about 120 deans, directors, department heads, and vice presidents. Ten vice chairs will assist in that effort.

The Faculty and Professional Staff Division will seek participation from the more than 1,500 individuals in that group. Harpole will help recruit 10 vice chairs and up to 80 other volunteers to help conduct that part of the effort.

The Support Staff Division also will reach more than 1,500 potential participants. Rook will be assisted by a committee of volunteers.

Informational meetings will begin in March, and each employee will have an opportunity to attend an awareness meeting to learn more about the campaign's objectives. Multiple meetings will be scheduled for each division. All will be held during regular working hours and will include question and answer sessions. Shuttle service will be provided to meeting sites.

The University Phase of the campaign is to be completed by the end of April, with a report to the university due in early May.
