The music in the display is part of the museum's collection of more than 20,000 pieces of sheet music and 15,000 disk and cylinder recordings. Along with an array of early music boxes, Victrolas, graphophones, and other novel instruments, the sheet music forms the "Business of Music Collection," donated to the university by Starkville businessman and collector Charles Templeton.
The museum is located at 46 Blackjack Road and is open weekdays by appointment at no charge. To arrange a tour, call 325-8301.
