'Yeah, but is your silk?'

College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Dwight Mercer and actor Morgan Freeman admired each others' taste in ties during the college's 20th anniversary banquet held recently on campus. Freeman, who starred in the major motion picture Driving Miss Daisy, and his wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, right, attended the banquet as guests of Tallahatchie County veterinarian Dr. Stuart Denman, who is the veterinarian for Freeman's pets. Freeman was guest speaker at the event, which commemorated legislative funding of the college in 1974.
