You'll sometimes find her in the control tower of the Raspet Flight Research Laboratory watching flight testing from a bird's eye view. It's all in a day's work for Jo Anne Upchurch, administrative secretary at the Raspet Lab. She's held her position for seven years and says that one of the most interesting parts of her job is “meeting the many interesting and exciting people and participating in the flight test program” at the lab. She says she grits her teeth when she has to edit papers and proposals and type equations, but she loves her job. Jo Anne lives in Ackerman, where she enjoys visiting with friends and collecting antique glassware.
