Hershbarger named to Workers' Compensation Advisory Council

A Mississippi State professor has been appointed to a one-year term on the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Advisory Council.

Dr. Robert A. Hershbarger, chairholder of the Peter Koch Lutken Mississippi Chair of Insurance in the College of Business and Industry, was named to the advisory council in July by the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission.

The council, consisting of up to 25 members, advises the commission in formulating policies, discussing problems related to administration of the state workers' compensation law, assisting in the formulation of legislative proposals and rules, and assuring the impartiality and fair application of the workers' compensation law.
