Dr. Jeffrey Levy, a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine and post-doctorate fellow with the college, met recently with Mississippi Gov. Kirk Fordice to discuss policy issues relating to veterinary medicine. Levy, a veterinarian, will use his fellowship to explore policies that impact the Mississippi-based aquaculture industry. In particular, he intends to examine the role of veterinary services in the development of agricultural resources and will interact with lawmakers and journalistic sources on the state and national levels.
