Computing Center offers courses

The Computing Center is offering the following hands-on computer training courses in October:

Oct. 3 -- Getting Started on the Unix Operating System, Hilbun 2, 9-11:50 a.m.
Oct. 4 -- The Internet (including Usenet, Archie, FTP, and Pine), Hilbun 2, 9-11:50 a.m.
Oct. 5 -- Advanced Commands on the Unix Operating System, Hilbun 2, 9-11:50 a.m.
Oct. 6 -- SAS (introduction to a popular statistical package), Hilbun 2, 9-11:50 a.m.

The classes will be repeated Oct. 10-13, at the same time and location.

Mosaic -- What is it and what can I do with it? will be offered Oct. 5 and 12 at 4 p.m. in the School of Architecture auditorium.

Each class is limited to 24 participants, and there is no charge.

For more information or to register for one of the classes, call 325-2942.

Participants must have an account on Nova/Ra/Isis in order to take a class.
