

Drs. Robert G. Gunderson and Vincent P. DeSantis will be part of a panel that discusses “Higher Education in the United States: The Perspective of 50 Years.”
Gunderson is professor emeritus of history and communication at Indiana University and DeSantis is professor emeritus of history at the University of Notre Dame.
Other panelists include: Dr. Cathryn Goree, director of the Center for Alcohol and Drug Education at Mississippi State; Cory Collins, president of the MSU Student Association; and Michelle Hodges, president of Mississippi State's Honors Council.
Dr. Roy Hudson, vice president of academic affairs at Mississippi Valley State University, will chair the panel.
The public program will begin at 10 a.m. in the University Theatre of McComas Hall. Funding is through the Mississippi Humanities Council.
In addition to the panel discussion, Gunderson and DeSantis will meet with top students, including Schillig, Truman, and Grisham scholars.
