While on board, Wolverton delivered four lectures on ancient civilizations. They dealt with the Seven Seas, nautical ancestors, of love and lovers, and the Olympic games of 776 B.C. (first games), 472 B.C. (76th Olympiad), 376 B.C. (100th Olympiad), and 62 A.D. (209th Olympiad when Nero was emperor).
