

Variety of noncredit courses offered by Continuing Ed
Noncredit classes offered by the Division of Continuing Education during the next several weeks include:
- Interpersonal communication skills in the workplace, Tuesdays, Jan. 17-Feb. 21, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Memorial Hall. Participants will learn skills such as active listening, constructive criticism, dealing with different personality types, and nonverbal communication.
- Intro to WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS, Jan. 20, 1-5 p.m., 105 Dorman Hall. The class will introduce beginners to the basics of word processing, including how to create, save and print documents; how to bold, underline and work with fonts; and other features.
- Operations management in manufacturing, Mondays, Jan. 23-Feb. 27, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Memorial Hall. The class will identify major stumbling blocks in operations management and will present a way to overcome them.
- Intro to interactive multimedia, Jan. 27, 1-5 p.m., the Wise Center. The course will explore multimedia applications on both the MS-DOS and Macintosh computer platforms.
- Developing basic job skills in the workplace, Mondays, Jan. 30-March 6, 6-9 p.m. Participants will learn about key performance areas such as basic work habits, verbal and written communication, and working effectively with others.
