Dr. Clyde Herring (r) was recently presented with the Outstanding Faculty Advisor award by the National Council of Beta Alpha Psi, national accounting fraternity. He is one of only six faculty members honored by the organization nationwide. Making the award presentation is Hansell N. York III, a tax partner with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Jackson. Herring is an associate professor in the School of Accountancy and beginning his sixth year as faculty adviser to Beta Alpha Psi. The chapter recently received a superior rating for the seventh consecutive year at the BAP annual meeting.
