Virtual architecture
Steve Aukstakalnis, left, assists President Donald Zacharias during a demonstration of the virtual reality equipment in the School of Architecture. The architecture program is the only one in the country integrating virtual reality into the undergraduate program. The equipment allows students to feel as though they are inside the actual space. Aukstakalnis shares an appointment with Architecture and the Engineering Research Center and is in charge of the V.R. program. The program is in the second year of a Department of Education grant.
