

Computing Center offers full slate of short courses in February
The computing Center is offering the following short courses during February. All courses are free and open to faculty, staff, and students.
- Feb. 13, SAS in the Microsoft Windows Environment (6.10) -- SAS in its new Windows environment; SAS syntax and the SAS Display Manager. Allen A21, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 14, SPSS for Windows (6.1) -- SPSS Windows features and syntax. Allen A21, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 15, SLIP Setup at MSU -- setting up Mosaic, Netscape, and other Winsock clients over the modem. Allen A17, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 16, Getting Started on the UNIX Operating System -- utilities, commands to view system documentation, and communication with other users. Allen A22, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 20, A Continuation of UNIX Commands -- UNIX file structure, directories and subdirectories, start-up files, redirection, pipes, filters, and file name generation. Allen A21, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 21, Advanced SAS Features and Beginning Graphics -- plots, charts, and publication quality graphs. Allen A21, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 22, Layout of the MSU Network -- signing on to the server, e-mail. Allen A12, 3-5 p.m.
- Feb. 23, The Internet -- archie, ftp, gopher, veronica, hytelnet, usenet, Mosaic, and lynx. Allen A22, 3-5 p.m.
