Evening of jazz set


From "Sweet Georgia Brown" to "Georgia on My Mind," Mississippi State's Stage Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will serve up an evening of jazz favorites during a free public concert April 18. The 7:30 p.m. performance is in the University Theatre of McComas Hall. The Stage Band, under the direction of Kent Sills, will present program selections that include "God Bless the Child," "Peg," "In the Mood," "Satin Doll," and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore," among others. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Rose Daniels, will present a program that includes a medley from "The Lion King," "And All That Jazz," and "Are You Lonesome Tonight," as well as other favorites.
