Engineering lab dedicated
Dedicating a newly renovated laboratory for the Department of Civil Engineering are (from left) Peggy Cook Pool, representing the Kelly Gene Cook Sr. Charitable Foundation; Joseph Sherrard, department head; engineering Dean Robert A. Altenkirch; and university president Donald Zacharias. The Cook Foundation pledged $500,000 over five years to modernize civil engineering labs. The initial $100,000 helped purchase equipment for and renovate labs used for structural, geotechnical, construction, enviornmental, and water resources engineering instruction. The Cook lab is located in Walker Engineering.
