A retirement reception honoring Dr. Bob Williams, interim state leader of agriculture and natural resources, will be held June 29.
The 2-4 p.m. reception will take place in the south end of the auditorium of Building "B" in the Bost Extension Center complex.
Williams began his career with the Cooperative Extension Service in 1964. He worked several years with the Tennessee Valley Authority Rapid Adjustment Farm Program, helping participants improve their farming programs and their net incomes.
In lieu of gifts, friends are asked to contribute to the Rupert Johnston Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund, which is used for student scholarships in agricultural economics. Contributions may be made to Cathy Lammons, Office of Development, P.O. Box 6149, Mississippi State, MS 39762.
