The Office of the Graduate School recently awarded Recruitment Assistance Grants to 13 academic units with graduate programs.
The $400 grants supplement graduate student recruitment efforts of units with master's and doctoral degree programs. Those receiving grants include:
Accounting (MPA), Architecture, Computer Science, Business Administration (DBA), Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Curriculum and Instruction, Foreign Languages, Mechanical Engineering, Political Science, Psychology, and Sports Administration.
"We initiated the program in 1991 and decided to estalbish a model that involved the participation of graduate faculty in our recruitment efforts," explained Richard D. Koshel, Graduate School dean. "The Graduate School has continued to enjoy moderate enrollment increases and the funds allow for travel and the development of literature for recruitment."
The program is funded by an annual allocation from the graduate application fees paid by out-of-state and international applicants.
