American Cyanamid is being recognized by Mississippi State for the companyÕs contributions to the Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine.
Three corporate representatives recently were on campus to receive a plaque expressing the university's appreciation for the support. They included Robert J. Alpe of Starkville, senior sales representative for the crop protection products department; Michael M. Kenty of Collierville, Tenn., the department's technical service representative; and district sales manager John M. Molpus, also of Collierville.
Kenty and Molpus are Mississippi State graduates.
A major component of Madison, N.J.-based American Home Products Corp., American Cyanamid produces and sells crop protection chemicals and agricultural products.
The company has contributed in-kind gifts valued at $20,000 to the university, including a tractor, a planter and other agricultural products, said Jack McCarty, the division's development officer.
By virtue of the donation level, the company is a corporate member of Mississippi State's President's Club donor group.
