Web Notes

Omni magazine recently selected Michael Mott's website, hosted on the Engineering Research Center servers, as an OmniVision website. In addition, he was invited to have a virtual booth of his artwork featured at the first-ever online science fiction convention, SCIFI.CON, hosted by the SciFi Channel's web site, the Dominion <http://www.scifi.com/scifi.con/gallery/mottstuff>. His website received a four-star rating in the WebGuide section of the magazine Internet Underground in July 1996. Currently, Mott is the first featured poet/writer at the website of E-Lit, an online electronic literature service <http://www.e-lit.com/freebies.htm>. His home page is <http://www.erc.msstate.edu/~mott>.

The historical text archive <http://www.msstate.edu/Archives/History> managed by Donald Mabry was featured in a story in the October issue of Electronic Learning magazine. He said the site now gets 100,000 inquiries annually.

Send a Mississippi State postcard electronically by clicking on the Alumni button of the university home page, or by going directly to <http://msuinfo.ur.msstate.edu/alumni/postcard/>. There are 16 different photographs of MSU scenes to send to anyone with WWW and e-mail access.
