

Five candidates for the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences have been selected and have visited or plan to visit campus.
The candidates for the position are Drs. Dagmar Cronn, professor of atmospheric chemistry and dean, College of Sciences, University of Maine; William Whelan Eidson, professor, Department of Physics, Adelphi University; Frank E. Saal, professor and head, Department of Psychology, Kansas State University; Frank E. Scully Jr., professor and chairman, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Old Dominion University; and Dawn Trouard, professor of English and associate provost for academic affairs, the University of Akron.
Planned visits to Mississippi State are as follows: Cronn, April 11 and 12; Saal, April 16 and 17; Scully, April 15 and 16; and Trouard, April 8 and 9. Eidson was scheduled to visit campus April 3 and 4.
