Mary Hamilton Purcell, right, is welcomed by Dr. Cindy Rose, chair of the President's Commission on the Status of Women, to the Celebration of Women luncheon. Purcell spoke on her experiences at the 1995 Fourth World Congress for Women in Beijing, China. Purcell represented the national American Association of University Women at the congress. Her visit to campus was sponsored by the university chapter of AAUW and the PCSW, which hosted the luncheon.
