President's commission looking for a few outstanding women


Nominations for 1997-98 Outstanding Women Awards are due by Dec. 15.

The program, which is designed to recognize women who have significant accomplishments professionally and personally, will be presented in spring 1998. It is sponsored annually by the President's Commission on the Status of Women.

The employee categories are Executive/Administrative, Faculty, Professional Non-faculty, Technical/Paraprofessional, Skilled Crafts, Service/Maintenance, and the Bettye Douglas Memorial Outstanding Secretarial/Clerical Woman.

Student categories include Undergraduate and Graduate woman.

All university female employees both on and off campus are eligible to be nominated, but all candidates must be employed in the category for which they are nominated. (To check a person's employment category, contact Human Resources Management at 325-3713).

Nominees for the student awards must be enrolled at MSU.
