

The National Academic Advising Association's regional conference is scheduled for March 2-4 on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
"Academic Advising: The Bridge Between Higher Education and Student Needs," is the title of the Southeast Region IV conference in Long Beach. Mississippi State is one of the hosts.
Topics include: programs for undeclared majors, retention grants, advising adult students, advisor training, advising students with physical and learning disabilities, using peer advisors, using computers in advising, African-American student retention, and developmental advising.
American College Testing program representative Wes Habley is the keynote speaker. Habley is a founding member of NACADA and has published numerous articles on advising.
