Dr. Robert A. Lucas (right) conducted a recent proposal writing workshop sponsored by the Office of Research and the Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine. Among the 60 faculty and staff participants were Dave Kaber of industrial engineering and Jacque Tisdale of the Southern Rural Development Center. Lucas is director of the Institute for Scholarly Productivity in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and has presented workshops at more than 100 universities over the past 20 years.
