Web site to feature faculty authors

A new project initiated by the Giles Distinguished Professors will showcase faculty authors and their work via the World Wide Web.

A web page will be created for each faculty member who has written or edited a scholarly or creative work published in book form. The pages will be implemented through the resources of the Engineering Research Center's publishing group.

Each page will include a brief biographical sketch and a photograph of the author, along with links to pages highlighting each of the author's books. Individual book pages will include full biographical information, abstracts of the works and images of the front covers of the books.

All pages may be accessed through the university's home page.

Although the project isn't scheduled for completion until spring, a few of the pages are already complete and may be accessed at <www.msstate.edu>, then clicking on "Academics," then on "MSU Faculty Authors Project."

Mary Weber, College of Engineering graduate student, is designing the web pages.
