The Board of Trustees, State Institutions of Higher Learning has selected three finalists in the search for the next president of Mississippi State.
The finalists are: G. Jay Gogue, provost, Utah State University; Malcolm Portera, president, Portera and Associates and vice chancellor emeritus of the University of Alabama System; and Mississippi State's Billy C. Ward, vice president for institutional advancement and executive assistant to the president.
Ward will be the first finalist interviewed for the position, beginning the process on Sept. 28. (Interview schedules may be found in last week's Memo or on the web at <http://msuinfo.ur.msstate.edu/ceo_search/prescand.htm>.
