The second Creating Futures Through Technology Conference will feature the best uses of information technology and telecommunications in classrooms across the state.
The state Board for Community and Junior Colleges also is a sponsor.
Sessions this year will include such topics as desktop video, web-based curricula, the MAGNOLIA electronic library, video servers and video on demand, how to use chat rooms in education, and the use of technology in curricula from business courses to music and art.
Mississippi State assistant professor David Salisbury of management and information systems is among this year's presenters.
Registration may be made through Hinds Community College, this year's host. The $50 fee includes a dinner with Drs. Thomas D. Layzell, commissioner of higher education, and Olon Ray, executive director of the community college board. They will speak on the role of educational technology in higher education.
