A portrait of retired Rep. G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery recently found a new home at the Meridian Campus. The Meridian native, MSU alumnus and long-time supporter of education maintains an office at the campus since his retirement from Congress. The portrait was painted by Mark Millet of Madison and formerly hung in The Bond Home, a Madison nursing home. On hand for the unveiling were, (l-r) Meridian Campus Dean David Moffett, Lucille Nichols, executive director of The Bond Home, Montgomery, Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins, and Millet.
