Cypress Semiconductor Corp., an international supplier of high-performance integrated circuits, has donated $25,000 to the Engineering Research Center. Part of the Cypress donation is being used to fund a fellowship for a student working in the ERC's microsystems prototyping lab. MSU and Cypress representatives on hand for the presentation of the fellowship included, from left, Dr. Wayne Bennett, dean of the College of Engineering; Robert Reese, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering; Randolph Hiltpold, director, Cypress Southeast Design Center; Kailashnath Nagarakanti, the recipient of the Cypress fellowship; and Ben Blalock, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering. The Cypress Southeast Design Center is located at the Mississippi Research and Technology Park.
