The Instructional Materials Center, located on the first floor of Mitchell Memorial Library, now has a flatbed scanner available for faculty, staff and student use.
The Hewlett-Packard DeskScan II has two software packages which can be used: HP DeskScan software for graphic images and Caere OmniPage Pro 8.0 for text scanning and OCR.
Thirty-minute reservation times may be made at the front desk of the center or by calling 325-7676. Scanned images may be saved on 3.5 floppy disks, Zip disks or transferred by ftp.
To edit and manipulate scanned images, a station is available with Adobe PhotoShop 4.0 and Illustrator 7.0 software programs.
