T-shirts for Staff Appreciation Day 1998, which will be held Friday, May 15, are still available.
The shirts, in sizes M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL and featuring the SAD logo, are on sale for $7. Staff members who haven't received a meal band by May 13 should contact Connie Black at 325-2750. The bands assure staffers of a complimentary lunch at any one of three food tents. Each of the tents will feature barbecued chicken, pulled barbecued pork, fried catfish, hushpuppies, baked beans, cole slaw, turnip greens, MSU ice cream, snow cones, and assorted soft drinks.
Festivities are scheduled on the Drill Field (McCarthy Gym in case of rain), 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with the lunch served 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The Zacharias Distinguished Staff Awards ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
