PRO-MISS plans October conference

PRO-Miss Institute of Leadership will hold its second SS Leadership conference on Oct. 21 and 22 in Jackson.

Donna Fisher, author of "People Power" and co-author of "Power Networking," will speak and humorist Al McCree will present a program on leadership, "Casting Your Net."

The conference, scheduled for the Plaza Hotel, also will feature mini-workshops on leadership by Dr. Barbara Spencer of MSU's College of Business and Industry, on listening skills by Jean Reeves of PRO-Miss, on future technology trends by Dr. Dan Brook of Extension Computer Applications, and on customer relations by Dr. Michael Thompson, marketing professor at Delta State University.

The cost of the conference is $195 prior to Oct. 1 and $225 afterwards. The cost covers the two main programs, a choice of two of the mini-workshops and all materials. It also includes four meals, two breaks and door prizes.
