Browning wins P.R. award

Dr. Ned Browning was named 1997 Practitioner of the Year by the Public Relations Association of Mississippi Starkville/Mississippi State University chapter.

"We chose Ned Browning as Practitioner of the Year because of his outstanding contributions to the field of public relations locally, statewide and nationally during his career," said Tricia Pace, president of the Starkville/MSU PRAM chapter.

Browning is the leader of the print media section of MSU's Office of Agricultural Communications. In addition, he is an associate professor of agricultural education and experimental statistics.

"Dr. Browning has been instrumental in developing Internet web sites and in promoting advanced communication technology for MSU's ag division, including the Extension Service and Experiment Stations," Pace added.

Browning earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Auburn University and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee.
