Cynthia Paul talks things over with Stephen Cottrell prior to a special flight over the area. Paul, a part-time student and assistant in the Admissions Office, was treated to an aerial survey of Starkville and MSU as the student with the highest overall grade in Cottrell's introduction to geography class. Cottrell, who also serves as the university's international student adviser, issues the flying invitation each semester, believing the flight best illustrates geography's core concept of spatial perspective.
