Library offers laptop network connections

Mitchell Memorial Library now has computer network connections throughout the facility for portable computer users.

Some 30 connections will allow faculty, staff and students to "plug in" their laptops and connect to the campus network if they have a network card and appropriate software. Instructions on how to connect are posted at each site.

"The connections are located mainly in reading rooms in the new part of the building, along with group study rooms," said Stephen Cunetto, the library's coordinator of systems. "We also have some connections in the graduate study area."
