Starkville's Armstrong Middle School library has joined the Golden Triangle Regional Library Consortium, a creation of MSU Libraries.
This fall, the middle school library's holdings will be added to the GTRLC database and its students will learn to use the same online catalog used by students at MSU, Mississippi University for Women and Starkville High School.
For those seeking material on a subject and unable to find it at their home library, access to surrounding libraries is provided through the GTRLC.
The GTRLC was developed in 1994 between the library directors at MSU and MUW. The consortium encourages resource sharing throughout the Golden Triangle, as well as cost sharing among members. It also provides technical expertise to all members, access to Internet resources and one database of area holdings and grant opportunities.
